Our main specialist area is newborn photography. These photo shoots ideally take place when your baby is just 5-21 days old as this is when they are still very foetal and sleepy, meaning that we can pose them safely.
Older babies are welcome at our studio too, but older newborns are typically more alert and less flexible to the posing is more relaxed to reflect that.
Our newborn sessions are photographed by our international multi-award winning photographer and qualified master photographer specifically in newborn portraiture, Jordan. Whilst your baby is safely posed and positioned by one of our posing experts, Sally or Sophie - meaning as new parents you can sit back, relax and enjoy watching the session.
We absolutely love working in newborn photography, and we are the largest studio in South Wales who actually specialise in newborn and baby images. Being able to capture the earliest days of your newborns life, and knowing that these images will be looked at for years, and possibly generations to come is something that we are very proud to be a part of.
We are specially trained in the art of newborn safety and posing for the purposes of newborn photography and urge all parents to ensure that they ask any photographer offering newborn portraiture about this.
Our diary books up extremely fast for newborn sessions, as we take bookings any time from your 12 week scan. We strongly advise booking as early as you can, so that we can guarantee a date in our diary for you.
We want to ensure that your session is tailored to your needs and requirements, so we will discuss with you at your pre-consultation what colours you would like to incorporate in to the session and what props you would like to use. We have a large selection of different props, blankets, headbands, wraps and hats at the studio. Everything is freshly laundered for each session, to ensure the highest standard of hygiene.
Our diary remains flexible to accommodate when your baby is born, so we simply ask you to get in touch as soon as possible after the birth and we will schedule your session from there.
After the session, we will invite you back to the studio for a viewing/ordering appointment where you can select which images and products you'd like to purchase. Once your order is placed, your images will be fully retouched by hand to an award winning standard - guaranteeing that your images will look perfect in print. From there your images will be sent to our incredible artwork partners, where they will be produced into the most incredible products that will last a lifetime.

When is the best time to book?
Anytime after you've had your 12 week scan. Booking during pregnancy is the only way to guarantee a session with us due to the limited time frame in which we have to create newborn portraits. Additionally, booking during pregnancy allows us enough time to invite you in to the studio for a consultation appointment where we can meet and show you around the studio.
We do however, occasionally have some last minute sessions become available as baby's rarely arrive on their due date. If your baby has already made an appearance, get in touch and we can do our best to accommodate.
I don't know the exact date my baby will arrive. How does this work?
Easy. We confirm the booking when baby makes an appearance. Our diary is limited to 10 newborn sessions per due month. This allows us the flexibility in our diary, and also means that each client can receive our undivided attention and the service you deserve.
These images cannot be recreated, so we want everything to be perfect - including the experience.
How long do the sessions last?
Our sessions can last anything between 2-4 hours. The session is completely baby led, meaning we work at a pace that baby is comfortable with. There is no rushing, and we only book one appointment per day ensuring that you can relax and enjoy the session.
Sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and begin at 10am.
What do I need to bring?
Aside from baby, all you need to bring is plenty of milk (whether thats breast or bottle). Baby will be nude for the duration of the session to enable us to capture their newborn features - we provide all wraps, props, headbands, bonnets and accessories.
Of course, if you have something specific or sentimental in mind please don't to hesitate to ask us for advice on bringing it along.
Are siblings and parents included in the session?
Of course. We encourage siblings and parents to be photographed with the newborn.
We do have to make you aware that our sessions do run on weekdays, as a result do interfere with school hours (unless it's a school holiday).
